Try Something New

Experimentation is the spark of creativity and innovation in the workplace. This next year, encourage opportunities to try new things – whether you think they’re “in your lane” or not.

Delegate More Often

Things get done more quickly, more efficiently, and more fully when you don’t have to do everything yourself. If you are in a leadership position at your company, trust your employees and delegate more to them. Sharing responsibility is a positive thing.

Focus On Marketing

The number one mistake that businesses of every size make is not investing enough in marketing. You can have the coolest technology on the planet, but if you don’t market it, who will know? Find new ways you can promote your company and new avenues to break into in the new year.

Work With Your Community

Your community doesn’t have to be the people physically around you, although that’s a good place to start. Your community is whoever is interested in your work and wants to engage with it. Find ways to foster that community and give back to them as you go.

Let Go of What’s Holding You Back
